"WHAT [IS] A GOOD MEMORY?"
My work, set in the fictional environment of a classic living room of a central European family, is based on the ambivalence of seriousness and sarcasm. It is, in fact, a classic decoration of the fridge of someone who uses magnets or photos to recall a pleasant memory of a trip abroad. The work thus comes across as a good memory of a pleasant holiday, whereas it is a photograph taken directly by one of the family members while still in their homeland, and now, rather than a good memory, it is a kind of bitter reminder of the reason why the family was forced to leave their country and go in search of happiness abroad.
