The short video follows an imaginary conversation.

 

The feeling common to many- dissatisfaction with the present opposed to the desire to return to a glorified idea of the past and a vague hope for the future. Moving on, trying to divert it, restless it persists latent wrapping around in the mind. 

 

I remember the smell of fresh snow on the concrete. Did it really happen? It may have been just an imaginary token of nostalgia.

 

Video assembled from found footage from live online cameras depicts Harun Farocki’s “operational images”, images produced by machines intended to autonomously perform a certain function as a part of a task - here as a part of the surveillance security system. Placed in a different context, given subjective notation these images resonate strong feelings of loneliness, sentimentality, melancholia.
